Bio-based materials
Biobased plastics
Example: Polylactic acid (PLA, fermented from corn starch) and polybutylene succinate (PBS), used as packaging materials, disposable tableware, etc., can degrade in natural environments.
Advantages: Replacing traditional polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) plastics, reducing environmental pollution.
Biobased fiber
For example, Lyocell fiber (made from wood pulp) and biobased polyester fiber are used in textiles and clothing, combining comfort and sustainability.
Biobased composite materials
Example: Environmentally friendly board made of straw fiber and resin composite, used for furniture and building decoration.
